Christa graduated from University of Mississippi Medical Center with her Master’s Degree in Nursing with a focus as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. In 2024, Christa received her Doctorate of Nursing Degree from the University of Southern Mississippi. She has the expertise and knowledge to practice as an advanced practice health provider. She has over 8+ years of experience working as a provider assessing, evaluating and treating patients with mental health issues ranging from mental illness, trauma, substance abuse, etc. Her passion has always been to help others and she has worked in mental health for over 27+ years as a Registered Nurse.  She treats all ages of the life span and has experience treating inpatient and outpatient. Empathy, respect, communication, patience, and professionalism are skills that drive her passion in her service. She makes each patient feel worthy of being treated by establishing a trusting environment and good rapport. Providing a high level of care to patients’ mental and emotional needs guides her plan of care in collaboration with other health care professionals.  She believes everyone deserves to be treated equally and fairly and hopes to continually break barriers in mental health. She has 4 children and has been married almost 27+ years.
