Kelsa earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from Delta State University and a Master of Social Work degree from The University of Southern Mississippi. She has experience with both inpatient and outpatient mental health treatment. She is also experienced as a medical social worker. Kelsa is licensed in Mississippi and an active member of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW). Kelsa’s work history includes extensive experience evaluating and treating clients of the adult and older adult population. Her experiences and clinical training also support work with couples. She is also certified in TF-CBT which supports work with children who have experienced trauma. Kelsa is trained to utilize Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR). Her approach to each client starts with respecting the inherent dignity and worth of the person. Kelsa has been able to utilize Solution Focused Therapy to help clients envision their preferred future and work with them to move towards change.
